An invitation is extended to everyone within mining and related industries in Queensland to participate in the Conference Program by submitting a Health Program.
The Queensland Mining Industry Health and Safety Conference Health Program Award aims to recognise creative and practical solutions to personal and occupational health problems and to promote their application across the Queensland Resources Industry.
Entry is open to all Queensland resources companies and sites including contractors (metalliferous, coal, quarries, exploration, oil and energy) associated with the Queensland resources industry.
There is no limit on the number of entries that may be submitted.
This Award is for the Health Program that best leads to improvements in the health of workers.
For the purpose of these Award “Health Program” is broadly defined as either a new initiative or an ongoing program that addresses a specific health issue, which has resulted in or will lead to a real benefit to resources sector workers.
All Submissions will be assessed by a Judging Panel comprising representatives selected by the Conference Committee from across industry sectors including health professionals.
The winner of the Award will receive the Queensland Mining Industry Health Award Perpetual Shield to be held until the next Conference, an Award Trophy, a framed Certificate and $1,000.00 to donate to their charity of choice.
If a Highly Commended submission is chosen, they will receive a framed Queensland Mining Industry Health Award Certificate.
The presentation of the Award will be held at the Conference Dinner on Tuesday 16th August 2016. All participants are encouraged to attend the Awards presentation to promote the application of the Program across the industry.
The closing date for the receipt of Health Program Award Submissions has been extended to Monday 6th June 2016
